BRAND U SYLLABUS

  • Lesson 1 explains the major differences between a logo and a brand.
  • Lesson 2 will cover an example Creative Brief that shows what kinds of questions you should be asking your clients when doing logo and branding projects.
  • Lesson 3 dives into strategies and gives step-by-step approach for gathering research and inspiration for your projects.
  • Lessons 4-5 cover thumbnail sketching and idea generation to produce a variety of concepts before scanning them into Adobe Photoshop.
  • Lessons 6-11 will show you how to create three different logos by using my process as well as advanced techniques in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Lessons 12-13 cover tips for gathering color inspiration and putting together color palettes that we can apply to our logo.
  • Lessons 14-15 will show you how to create color variations before choosing the version that best suits the clients needs.
  • Lessons 16-20 demonstrate how to create graphic assets, custom textures, and patterns.
  • Lesson 21 - 24 - These lessons dive deep into the development of the brand style guide and pulls all of our elements together into an organized document. They will also show you how you can use the style guide to create business cards and two different promotional pieces/advertisements that are print ready (PDF files generated in Adobe InDesign)
